BEFORE YOU BOOK
Rental Guide
Please read the following before booking, especially "Driving eligibility and documents" - without the correct documents we cannot hand over the car.
Driving eligibility and documents (most important)
If you hold a Taiwanese driving licence, you must bring both of the following to drive in Japan:
A Taiwanese "International Driving Permit" is not valid in Japan. Please do not come with an International Driving Permit alone.
Driving conditions
- The Japanese translation is valid for one year from your date of entry into Japan.
- The driver must be at least 18 with a valid license.
- The driver must be the same person who booked, and must appear in person at pickup for document verification.
- Rules differ for other nationalities (some countries use a Geneva Convention International Driving Permit). Please check with us on LINE before booking.
Bring on pickup day
After you submit, our staff will confirm availability and send payment instructions. Your reservation is confirmed once full payment is completed. Payment: Credit card.
Fuel policy
Full tank on collection, full tank on return.
- Please refill the tank before returning the car, and keep the receipt for verification.
- If the tank isn't full, we charge for the missing fuel plus a refueling service fee.
Extra hours and how they are charged
- Time beyond a full rental day is charged at JPY 2,500 per hour; any part of an hour counts as a full hour.
- If the hourly charge would exceed the cost of one more rental day, the system automatically applies the cheaper daily rate.
- Insurance plans are charged per day, so any period under 24 hours still counts as one day.
Cancellation policy
To cancel or change your dates, please contact us as early as possible via our official LINE account. Cancellation fees are calculated on the base rental charge (insurance and optional equipment are refunded in full):
Returns
- All returns are handled at our Narita Office for vehicle inspection and expressway toll (ETC) settlement.
- Expressway tolls are based on actual usage, read from the unit at return and collected with your final payment.
Peak periods & rate adjustments
The dates below are Japan's peak travel periods. For rentals that fall on these dates, the base rental fee is adjusted to the peak-season rate (calculated per day; only the peak days carry a surcharge — insurance coverage and add-on fees are unchanged). The actual amount is shown in the estimate on the booking page.
*For insurance coverage, the Non-Operation Charge (NOC), and exclusions, see the Insurance & Compensation page. Detailed terms are governed by the rental contract signed on site.
